Gary Israel, a teacher in Morris Academy for Collaborative Studies who met with Bob Stark, the head of the mechanical engineering lab at Columbia University. The two of them created 2Train Robotics, one provided the students, the other provided the tools. What could not be foreseen was the impact this would make for students. It offered many students from the Bronx an extracurricular activity that would provide many life skills. Outreach is a very broad term, as the term can be applied to an Instagram page just as easily as a robotics event.
